Product Information
Our VT&G (V-Tongue & Groove) Planed Standard cladding is produced from quality Scottish logs and planed smooth on all faces to give a clean, uniform finish. The distinctive V-joint creates a subtle shadow line between each board, adding definition and a tidy architectural look while still allowing the natural character of the timber to show through.

This standard grade includes healthy knots, colour variation and grain movement, all part of the charm of home-grown Larch and Douglas Fir, while offering a consistent machining finish suitable for a wide range of buildings.

VT&G can be fitted horizontally or vertically, providing flexibility in design.
Stainless steel fixings are recommended to avoid staining and improve durability.

Please note that the cover of our boards is 8 mm less than the width ordered, due to the tongue.
For example:

  • A 140 mm board provides a 132 mm cover

  • A 90 mm board provides an 82 mm cover

  • A 190 mm board provides a 182 mm cover

Mixed-Length
To offer the best value while honouring every Scottish log we mill, these boards can be supplied in mixed lengths. This reduces waste, keeps costs down, and ensures more of each tree is put to good use.

  • Boards are supplied randomly in varied lengths, minimum 1

  • Lengths depend on what each log yields

  • Simply enter the total metres you require in the quantity box

Why Choose Mixed Lengths?

💰 Better value — you’re not paying extra for set lengths
🌲 Resource-efficient — more timber from each log is used
⏳ Time-saving — boards are ready to fix straight onto your building

Important: When you select "Mixed Length" in the length options, add the number of meters required into the quantity section.
