Description

This unique piece boasts a truly special backstory. Handcrafted from timber felled by our very own Director, Mark Councill, at Logie Timber, the tree was carefully seasoned on Adrian’s property over the past decade. Now transformed into a stunning bowl, its exquisite finish is a testament to craftsmanship and time. This one-of-a-kind bowl is a must-have for any home, bringing both beauty and history into your space.

The Maker

Adrian Cammack has been turning wood at his home in Speyside for almost a decade. He was inspired when exploring deciduous woodland beside his home; to preserve and celebrate some of our native hardwoods. All items are turned by hand from hardwoods derived from this source, unless otherwise stated. Most items are turned over-size (‘roughed out’) from wet wood before setting aside to air dry until seasoned, where they are returned to the lathe and finished.

Fallen woodland floor material is a particular favourite, often challenging to turn but rewarding. Grain colouring and patterns (spalting) are as a consequence of early fungal attack – a gift from nature and very special.
